BADSTUBER: WE’LL KEEP ON WINNING FOR JÉRÔME

After a successful Bundesliga restart away to Hamburg the FCB pros are now preparing for Sunday's home match against Hoffenheim at 17.30 CET. On Wednesday Pep Guardiola and his troops worked on tactical details for almost two hours. After the session Holger Badstuber took three questions on the current situation.

INTERVIEW: HOLGER BADSTUBER

fcbayern.de: Holger, the Bundesliga restart was a success in terms of the result, but Jérôme Boateng sustained an injury. How much has that marred the victory in Hamburg?
Badstuber:
“If you lose a crucial player it takes the gloss off any win. Nevertheless the atmosphere is positive. Now we want to keep on winning for Jérôme. He’s contributed a lot to our season so far. He'll return towards the end of the campaign, and I hope he can still play some games, top-notch ones in particular. We'll do everything to make that happen.”

fcbayern.de: What impact does Jérôme's lay-off have on the defence?
Badstuber:
“Basically none. We've got other players too, me included, and we have to compensate for Jérôme's lay-off. It's not going to be easy because he's a pillar. But it's no use moaning. We'll continue to take on our opponents with confidence.”

fcbayern.de: You're up against Hoffenheim on Sunday. What are you expecting?
Badstuber: “It's going to be a very dangerous match. Hoffenheim have their backs to the wall and must take points. But after the restart in Hamburg we know where we are, and we're prepared for Sunday.”
