First of four training sessions ahead of Schalke
After three days off, Carlo Ancelotti reconvened his squad on Monday afternoon in autumnal temperatures for the first of four training sessions to prepare for the league game against Schalke 04 on Friday (20:30 CEST). In front of roughly 1,000 fans, the players took part in drills which involved a football as always, although there was still some sprinting to be done in between during the 70-minute session.
A total of ten players took part in team training, including Renato Sanches and Douglas Costa, who will be looking to make their first appearances of the season against Schalke. There were still some absentees away with their national sides but they will return to training over the next few days. Kingsley Coman, Arjen Robben, Jérôme Boateng and Holger Badstuber were also out on the practice ground continuing their training programmes as they look to return to fitness
