Goal machine Lewandowski in numbers

He just keeps scoring... FC Bayern’s goal machine has started the 2017/18 season in top form! Robert Lewandowski already has five Bundesliga goals this season after his brace in the champions’ 4-0 win over Mainz on Matchday 4, meaning he currently leads the top scorers list ahead of Sunday’s matches. fcbayern.com has gathered a few stats on the Poland captain’s form.

Lewy’s goalscoring stats

8 - FC Bayern have played seven competitive games so far this season (including the Supercup), and Lewandowski has scored eight goals. That’s the highest tally of any Bundesliga player!

8 - When the Pole scores, he often does so multiple times. In eight of the last nine league games in which Lewandowski’s been on the scoresheet, he’s added at least one more goal (six braces and two hat-tricks).

13 - Lewandowski likes playing during the Oktoberfest period, too. The 29 year-old has netted 13 goals in Bundesliga home games during the festival! Only Gerd Müller (18) has a better record in a Bayern shirt.

24 - The win against Mainz was not the first time this week that Lewandowski has been celebrating. The striker scored his 24th Champions League goal in the 3-0 win against Anderlecht in midweek – that’s equivalent to a goal every 115 minutes. No other player has scored so frequently for the Reds in the competition!

82 - Lewandowski made his 100th Bundesliga appearance for Bayern against Mainz and his tally stands at an incredible 82 goals! No other striker has achieved a better record in his first 100 games for a club. Lewy also has 20 assists to his name.

155 - With 155 goals, the Pole is now the highest-scoring current Bundesliga player. In second place is a long-time FCB player in Mario Gomez on 154.
